Refund policy

At Subarnam Silks, customer satisfaction is our top priority. We strive to ensure that every product you receive meets your expectations. Please note that all the products we deal in are handcrafted, and weaving irregularities are a natural characteristic of handloom, adding to the uniqueness of each piece.

Please note that the color of the saree may appear slightly different from the images shown due to lighting conditions during photography and variations in screen display settings. We strive to present our products as accurately as possible, but minor differences in shade are natural and should be expected.

However, if you happen to receive a damaged or defective product, we are committed to assisting you through our return policy, which is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • We have an exchange only and no refund policy.
  • Opening Video is Mandatory for any Returns or exchanges.
  • Return Eligibility: The return request must be raised within 2 days of receiving the product. Returns will only be accepted if the product is found to be defective or damaged upon delivery.
  • Return Condition: The product must be returned in its original, saleable, unused condition, with all tags, packaging, original folds, and price labels intact. 
  • Return Window: Products must be returned within 7 working days of receipt to ensure a smooth process.
  • International Returns: If your purchase is international, we will update you on the return process. Please do not ship the product back to us directly, as it may attract customs duty.

Our goal is to make the return process as hassle-free as possible while maintaining the quality and integrity of our products.

Initiating a Return Request

To initiate the return process for products purchased on our website, follow these steps:

Raise a Return Request:

      • Mentioned your order no. and details
      • Please attach a picture and video of the defective or damaged product. 
      • If your return request is accepted, only then ship the product to us.

Please note: Ship the product only after your return request has been approved.

  • For International Returns:
    We will update you on the return process. Please do not ship the product to us directly, as it may attract customs duties. We will guide you through the appropriate steps.

Return package should Include the Following Information:

    • Ensure your name, order number, and mobile number are clearly written on the package.
    • Attach the original invoice or receipt with the returned product.
    • Please send the package using a company-designated courier service. If you need assistance with this, contact our Customer Care team.

Non-Returnable Items

  • As per Subarnam's return policy, any damage caused by improper product care or misuse will not qualify for returns. Customers are advised to handle their products with care to avoid disqualification from the return process.
  • Jewellery Items 
  • 925 Silver 
  • Men's Wear
  • Readymade blouses
  • Custom Made to Order or personalized orders that have been stitched/woven for specified sizes, includes blouse orders that have not been processed yet 
  • Any product that has already been exchanged before - exchange/returns can occur only once per order.
  • Sarees for which blouse has been stitched as per the customer's measurements.
  • Discounted Items/Items bought during Sale.
    These include products shipped during a site-wide sale, and/or other discounts. 
  • Gift Cards

Inspection and Quality Check

Upon receiving your returned product, Subarnam's quality inspection team will thoroughly assess the item. Once the inspection is complete, we will:

  • Approve or Reject the return based on the condition of the product.
  • If approved, you will be offered one of the following:
    1. A credit note/voucher is redeemable for a future purchase on the Subarnam silks website.
    2. An exchange with another product of equal or lesser value.

Please note that decisions regarding returns are at Subarnam's sole discretion, and we reserve the right to deny returns that do not meet our return policy guidelines.

Return Shipping Charges

The Customer will be responsible for the shipping costs of returning the product. However, if the error is on Subarnam's side, we will refund the shipping charges as a credit note/voucher.

Defective or Faulty Product

If you receive a product where the packaging appears tampered with, damaged, or is delivered in an unsealed condition, we strongly advise you not to accept the package. Immediately contact Subarnam Silks through the following:

Upon thorough inspection of the item for signs of use, once Subarnam Silks has determined, at its sole discretion, that the product’s damage was not due to any actions on the Customer's part, we will provide one of the following solutions:

  1. Issuance of a credit note.
  2. Exchange or replacement of the product.

Colour, Handwork, Specifications, and Description

Please note that product details regarding weight, colour, handwork, and size mentioned on our site are approximate values only. Hence, return or exchange requests based on these attributes will not be approved.

  • Handwork and Embellishments: Items featuring beaded embroidery or sequins are prone to occasional detachment. Even with the most careful handling, such embellishments may come off. Please be mindful of this before placing an order.
  • Creative Interpretations: Product descriptions are based on the artistic interpretations of our handloom weavers and the content writers’ creative freedom. Products will not be considered for returns solely based on the perceived differences between the short or long content descriptions.

Colour Variations

While we strive to showcase the exact colour of the product as displayed on your screen, please be aware of minor variations that can occur due to multiple factors, including:

  • Different resolutions of monitors.
  • The use of various video cards or operating systems.
  • The impact of lighting conditions in different settings.

A 10% variation in shade is considered normal and will not be grounds for a return or exchange.

Cancellation of Order

If a customer wishes to cancel an order before or after it is processed, a 5% cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

  2. Include the Order Number in the subject line with the word "CANCEL MY ORDER".

Please note that cancellation requests will not be processed if the order has already been approved.

Refunds Procedure

Subarnam Silks reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine the form of refund offered to the Customer—whether as a credit note or an exchange offer. We strive to complete refund processing within 7 (seven) working days from the receipt of the returned product.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute regarding cancellations, refunds, or returns, customers can contact Subarnam Silks via info@subarnam.com. However, Subarnam's decision will be final and binding.

This policy is governed by the laws of India (Indian IT Act 2002)

Subarnam's liability, in any case, is limited to the price of the product in question.
